Two weeks ago, I was invited to go on a trip to New York to see the Basquiat exhibition in New York for free. Though I wasn’t very familiar with his work before the trip, but knew he was an incredibly influential figure in African American historical art, I absolutely loved seeing the exhibit. It was by far one I enjoyed the most, and there were four floors of paintings – you had to start from the top and work your way down, and you only had 45 minutes inside to see everything. The third floor, depicted below, was my favorite by far.
