Artist Robert J Lang, one of the most prominent people in the world of origami, combines his background in science with his artistic skills to create beautifully precise pieces of origami. Lang majored in physics and has since used his skills with mathematics and engineering to create hyper-realistic constructions of real objects. My familiarity with origami is relatively limited, but I was surprised that many of his pieces were composed of multiple different sheets of paper that he later combined, which reminds me of our current work in Project 3. His work and process could serve as an interesting reminder about how detail-oriented folding can be and that the little components make a large difference.
