The Hello Kitty Shinkansen first started running in June 2018, running from Osaka to Fukuoka in Japan. It features a pink color scheme and includes many small Hello Kitty characters. Even though Hello Kitty is not inherently pink, the color pink plastered along the top of the shinkansen gives it a unique touch, reminiscent of the color purple’s choice for the Evangelion shinkansen the year before. The Hello Kitty bow was also heavily utilized in the interior train design. The shinkansen should continue running until the end of June, so if you’ll be in Japan till then check it out!
