In the spirit of the Oscars and the beginnings of our thinking about story and video, I wanted to share the Booooooom TV Best of the Week line up. It includes one music video and three short films. Pillow includes an animation at the beginning, a rotating 2-D human silhouette that folds over itself before the legs flip around again. Pillow felt very trendy to me from a visual perspective (see the palm frond wall paper, recurring bubblegum pink color, as well as the utilitarian outfits of the main two characters.)
My favorite was Little Sh*t which felt like it could be expanded into a feature length film for its strong and immediate character development. Amidst the confusion and overwhelming responsibility of the main character’s boyhood life, the film still highlighted an astounding sense of wonder.
