This past weekend, I went to the Penn Museum to check out some of their Chinese New Year celebration activities. One of the events was a screening of recent Asian American short films put on by the Philly Asian Film Fest to celebrate more diverse stories in the media. I was starstruck by One Small Step, a short by TAIKO studios based out of Wuhan, China, and Los Angeles, CA shortlisted for the Oscars. The short is about a young girl named Luna and her father, and his encouragement throughout her childhood for following her dreams of becoming an astronaut. The film is a love letter to anyone who has followed an impossible dream and having a family to support them every step of the way. Check it out here: One Small Step.
