Erasure Art

“Under Erasure” is a recent exhibition at the Pierogi Gallery that represents an intersection of both art and literature, where the use of erasure allows language to be used as art. The creators hoped to show that a lack of words does, in fact, have meaning and can provoke a desire to know what was erased. The exhibition brings together the ideas of conceptual poetry and contemporary art, allowing these fields to coexist within a single set of work.
